It took some time to reach the film, almost 30 years after its original publication, but according to THR, Pastor has negotiated an agreement with representatives of both Thompson and hopes to write and direct the project. First published in 1983, Land of Group Six is a truly original book.
Tom Sheppard won the Emmy as a writer for the animated series Back to the corral and Pinky and the Brain. If all goes as planned, however, this could be his most conventional film output, giving more recognition.and wrote the screenplay for New Line The New Adventures of Pinocchio. Also, indie film script, did you lie to you?
What can we expect from the film? It is too early to speculate too much, but as the author of the book, Julian F. Thompson is considered by some to be quite controversial, often throwing indifferent, insensitive to young adults responsible, intelligent, keeping readers on edge with his quick witted humor, fast-paced thriller sequences and especially the remarkable sex, abundant. It seems that the perfect film to draw parents and teenagers to the movies together (if that’s possible) and if it be good, could inspire a new generation of young rebels (or a killer wave of parents)In all likelihood, the latter at least toned down a bit if the movie is to target the teenage audience as the book did.
