Joss Whedon in Buffy the Vampire cons Adopted Restart

By AltBakh

Earlier this month, it was announced that Warner Bros. bought the rights to Buffy the Vampire Slayer “and Whit Anderson hired to restart the franchise in his debut as a screenwriter. This news led to outrage on the Internet that Warner Bros. was going through a Buffy movie without Joss Whedon’s participation in any way in their plans. Whedon issued a statement saying
“And there is no legal basis to do something more than an audible sigh. “I always hoped that Buffy would live even after my death. But, you know, AFTER. I do not like the idea of my creation in other hands, but I am also aware that many more hands than mine was to make the show what it was.

Read why after the jump.Whedon approached the reports about the resumption of Buffy, but it happened.
That’s why I’m a little surprised to learn that Whedon was actually approached about the movie after all.I mean, how could they make a movie of Buffy and Whedon does not mean at all? I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who thought statement Whedon, along with all the news we know so far about the next restart of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, made the people behind this movie seem clueless idiots.
This decision makes sense, however, when his next project is The Avengers.According to heat vision, Whedon was taken last year when Fran Rubel and Kaz Kuzui, rights holders, began developing the new version. Whedon decided to pursue other projects.
It will be interesting to see how much to take Anderson differs from Whedon wanted to take the character and the universe he created, since it is now treading on sacred ground geek. Finally decided on Pentecost Anderson, who “came up with a take on the myth of Buffy that was strong enough after a couple of projects to attract Atlas, which was associated with vertigo to set in a studio.” After last Whedon, the producers began looking to the writers of the film.
Personally I’m a little disappointed that Whedon is not involved in the next reboot / remake. I understand their reasons for deciding to focus all their energy in the Avengers instead. But I can not stop wishing that Whedon has taken at least a kind of “godfather” role in the film, or served as a producer
