Johnny Depp as Brad Pitt or George Clooney to play Lone Ranger

By AltBakh

With Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinksi officially in charge of directing the film version of The Lone Ranger, it’s no wonder the focus is now the hero the same person. The latest name to hit the jackpot comes from none other than fool yourself – and Johnny Depp star:
[George] Clooney would be great. Brad [Pitt] would be great. “There are interesting possibilities for many out there. Do not know who is going to be yet.”
The Lone Ranger is to be released in 2012. Pitt has a number of upcoming films including the tree of life awaited the director Terrence Malick, which opens on May 27, 2011. Depp is currently filming Pirates of the Caribbean: At foreign shores with director Rob Marshall for a May 20, 2011 release. Hit the jump for more.
The suggestion makes sense as Depp probably would have beaten Pitt while filming The Tourist with the wife of Inglourious Basterds’ Angelina Jolie – he knows better than anyone if sensitivities play Pitt as his own. However, while Depp may have some pull in Hollywood, the decision is likely to rest in the hands of Verbinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
It took almost three years to officially up Verbinski on board, even after the inclusion of Johnny Depp giant box office. Personally I would Verbinski had taken the lead to play in the film adaptation of the videogame Bioshock (though Juan Carlos Fresnadillo remains a solid choice), something deeper to fit your management skills.I remain cautiously optimistic about The Lone Ranger, especially given its pre-production process long overdue.
Depp explains that Entertainment Tonight:However, this latest rumor suggests rather a shot of the legendary series, especially in regard to his paintings of Native Americans.
It has plans to rectify that.”"Native Americans in film, in recent years however, many have been treated a bit poorly.
Starring Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp? I’d pay to see that.Hmmm … the whimsical (even humorous) tone mesh Pirates realism with the feet on the ground of Dance with Wolves?
Here is a synopsis of the television series:
Leaving his white horse Silver, the Ranger can see “Hi-yo Silver, away!” As the horse galloped into the sunset, followed by someone asking “Who was that masked man, anyway?” Tonto usually referred to as the Lone Ranger Kemo know, which means “explorer of confidence.” The main character is a masked Texas Ranger in the American West history, was played by George Seaton (radio), but more famous for Clayton Moore (TV), who gallops about correcting the injustice with the help of his clever, laconic fellow Native Americans Tonto played by (among others) John Todd, Roland Parker, and (in the TV series) Jay Silverheels. “Why he’s the Lone Ranger.” [Wikipedia
