No word yet if the new version will also be based on the book, or write an original script, but probably will end up as another money maker 3D tame anyway.
That’s a nasty bite – I’m surprised he never recovered. While the original was surprisingly nominated for an Oscar for Best Costume Design, was slammed by critics and audiences. In fact, Irwin Allen, who directed, so I was disappointed by the loss it made in the film, which forbade its employees while mention it again. The swarm took in only $ 10 million with a budget of $ 21 million. “We’ve been fighting a losing battle against insects,” says Michael Caine as Dr. Clane in the first movie, and that certainly seems true.
Caine tried to absolve himself with the line “is not my fault,” but, citing poor special effects were to blame. Well, at least there is something that should definitely be enhanced with CGI toys today – but still, I doubt that Caine will open again for a cameo. The movie is also a touchy subject for Sir Michael Caine himself, that despite starring in its fair share of failures, considered the worst movie ever made.
Check out the trailerFor those who have not seen the original film, in fact I recommend it – it is totally improbable and hilariously wrong, but that’s what makes it fun.
